What no one else will tell you...
Embracing Birth: wholistic childbirth education (a home study course) is the only course that teaches about birth. What happens in the man-made baby delivery system™ is not birth. When things go wrong in the man-made baby delivery system™ birth gets blamed. It's time for birth to have a voice.
17 years working with expectant couples has taught me:
- The man-made baby delivery system™ is all about business. Basically asking the question, “How many women can we move through this one room in the shortest period of time even if we have to force harmful drugs into her and an unnecessary surgery?”
- A large portion of midwives actually offer the same type of care as the man-made baby delivery system™. It’s all about business and when what happens in the hospital is what happens in your home, risks for both mother and child increase. Far too many midwives seem to be currently asking, “How many clients can I move through pieces of my practice in a single month even if I have to use drugs I’m not supposed to have? Yes, some will have to be transferred at some point to one of my colleagues in the hospital but at least I can say I tried and I will still get some money from them.”
- There is currently not a single midwifery training program that teaches only about pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding without the man-made baby delivery system™ misinformation and misunderstanding of how this all works best.
- No one is teaching about truly autonomous, trauma informed and woman directed care. Not a single program.
